Beach Rugby Festivals was launched in 2021, with Weston-Super-Mare as the first ever event. There were 32 teams from across the UK, who came together to play tag rugby on the beach during 2021. The teams consisted of men’s, women’s and mixed/families all enjoying a weekend of fun and excitement. And now, Beach Rugby Festivals has expanded to include Weymouth and Exmouth as well. 

Beach Netball has also been introduced into Weston and Exmouth festivals, with both ladies and mixed teams.

Sponsors and partners – including Green Spinaker, O’Neills, Oak & Black, ConciergeUK, Oliver Meylan, Thatchers, Sheppy’s Cider, Cheddar Spirits Co, Panache Indian Cuisine, Fhoss, and others have enabled the brand to grow. Each event includes an evening launch and beach parties with music from local bands and a fully stocked bar.
